The Highs of a Babymoon

You’ve heard of the honeymoon, of course! These days, babymoons have also become more popular and with good reason. The first and third trimester have travel risks so usually, the second trimester is the safest and best time to go. The general upheaval has settled down and you feel great with that maternal glow. Read on as to why you should consider taking a vacation with your hubby before baby makes the much-anticipated appearance.

• It promotes togetherness and strengthens your bond and connection before your twosome becomes a three or foursome. It also gives you a chance to talk about your plans as a couple even after baby is born. It’s important to see your relationship as a partnership between parenthood and romantic couple-hood. Remember, you also have yourselves, each other, and your marriage to take care of!
• Unwinding at a relaxing getaway such as a spa resort or beach destination can help you kick up your feet and let go of your fears and anxieties. You don’t even have to go too far for a break with your hubby. It can be a nearby resort, hotel, or spa. The point is to de-pressurize and relax as many complications at the homestretch are brought about by stress.
• You can either savor a little quiet leisure time or a last hurrah at fun places with exciting activities. You may not be able to indulge too much after your little family gets a wonderful addition.

Wherever you choose to spend your babymoon, the point is to relax and enjoy quality time with each other. However, don’t forget to check in with your doctor before making any plans, and after your getaway. Medical concerns should still be top priority. And even when on vacation, don’t overexert yourself, stay safe, and continue making healthy food choices!
